We have it on good authority (OK, we read it on Gael Greene’s twitter feed, and confirmed on Grub Street) that Melt Gelato is offering free scoops from 11am to 7pm at their 2nd Avenue location.

Why this sudden burst of generosity? Melt has grandiose dreams of breaking the world record for most gelato served, with Guinness Book of World Records judges on site to keep tally. And with mouth-watering flavors like burgundy cherry, mascarpone caramel pistachio, and white chocolate raspberry, it’ll be hard to say no. Sugar rush, here we come!
